Traveling to Eleuthera is Very Simple.

1. Commercial flights that fly into Governor’s Harbor Airport are American airlines and Silver airlines. Domestic flights: Bahamasair, Pineapple Air and Soutrhern Air. Private planes also land there. It is only a 30 Minute drive to Yellow Bird.

2. Airlines that fly into North Eleuthera Airport are American Airlines, Delta and Sliver airlines. Private planes also land there. Schedules change with commercial flights during different times of the season.

Travel

Do I need a passport to travel to the Bahamas from the U.S.?

1. Yes, you do need a current U.S. Passport to travel to the Bahamas

2. During Covid you will need to produce a negative Covid test which had been approved on the Bahamian Government site. The process is simple, after your arrival you will receive a daily email to answer four screening questions. On your fifth day a concierge can come to YellowBird to have you retested and they will send in your results. Very simple and thorough. We work hard to protect the island because there is no hospital here.

Currency

Most places do you take credit cards but it is very helpful to bring Cash. 

Access

How do I gain access to the property upon arrival?

We will be happy to pick our Guests up at the airport. Our staff will also be at the house to welcome you.

Help

Who do I reach if there is a problem at Yellow Bird?

Top management lives on the property and will be available at all times. Contact information for our Executive Director and Staff will be shared upon arrival.

Are there emergency services on the island?

1. Yes! You can call 242-826-5757 for emergencies. 

2. *For non-emergencies please call 242-332-2774. These will reach the Governor’s Harbour Clinic

3. For your safety our Executive Director Cenize, and our Assistant Director, Tyler are both certified in the American Heart Assoc. and First Aid Program / CPR and AED.

Is it customary to leave a tip for the staff of Yellow Bird?

12% of per night cost will be added to your final bill to share with our 6 member staff.
